Comments: This review is long overdue. Sterling has gone above and beyond to help me multiple times when I was in a panic. As a young, female homeowner without a lot of handy people in my life, I cannot thank him enough for his work and expertise at a reasonable price. He reached out to me within minutes one night after I frantically submitted my info on Home Advisor. The next morning, he came to my home, fixed the mainline drain clog, and also identified the underlying problemâ  a broken sewer line. This was something a different plumber had previously overlooked. The city was responsible and ultimately fixed the sewer line a month later. The first rain after DPWâ  s sewer line repair, the night of NYE, my basement massively flooded with 6â  of rain water. Sterling answer my panicked phone call and advised me of what to do. Turns out storm water was flooding through the cityâ  s excavation. I donâ  t know what I would have done without his help!

They really take pride in there work at this company and completely explained me the process and everything that was involved. I had roots clogging my toilet drain and Sterling was able to locate and remove the root issue and provide me with video evidence of just how clean the drain now is after the service. Comments: At first I thought they were doing a good job, but they were here a very long time and they left my toilet on shims and I had to hire a contractor to come in and fix their mess. The pipe work was not put in correctly. Odd angles and things. The toilet was flush to the floor in the first place, so why did it not go back flush when they were done. I would not use them again. The hole under the toilet should not be bigger than the flange (the connection between the pipe and the toilet). Once on site, the service was excellent: he explained everything he needed to do and thoroughly answered my questions. My complaint is they did nothing to protect my floors from their wet boots and machines, etc. that they had to bring across my hardwood floors and my area rugs. I asked if they needed drop cloths and they said no, but soon I was putting down my own, and as they had to snake in a new hole in my dining room, water came shooting out and I ran for towels to take care of the problem, I was not happy about mopping up the water dropping across my floors as they came and went. He initially stated that he would fix the clog and slow drainage issue tonight so I could user my washing machine and then he would come back and fix the crack after he ordered a part. Comments: The business owner, Sterling, performed the job and was very professional, and personable. He arrived at my home on time as we agreed and immediately performed a thorough assessment of not only the clogged sink drain, but also examined all the pipes in the basement and pointed out weaknesses in my system. The drain and the pipes were expertly cleared by both cable flushing and hydro jetting. Well worth the cost. I would highly recommend him to friends and family.

Comments: Their response was extremely quick and the work was done in two hours. The cost was slightly more than what I had been told on the phone for a new pump, but I didn't mind that. What did bother me is that the tech told me that my pump was a permanent one, and that it could be repaired but not replaced. It turns out that the pump had been replaced when I checked the work after the tech had left, and the new pump's manual was left on the basement floor. Although I'm pleased with the overall result, I'm displeased at the lack of communication by the tech. Next time, I will choose another company.

Comments: Mr. Sterling was extremely knowledgeable. professional and courteous. He diagnosed the problem immediately. The "check valve " on the sump pump had deteriorated and he repaired it. Since the valve was an ancient relic he took his time because it involved cutting and replacing the old pipe attached to the pump. He is reputable because he could have told me I needed a new sump pump (which I thought I did), and that would have been a more expensive repair. If I ever have any plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely call "Dun Rite"!!

Comments: We hired Dun Rite to hydro-jet a blocked line and use a camera to confirm a suspected break. Sterling came out and did exactly that. There was a bit of confusion about whether or not the camera he had would fit in the line, but he did manage to use the camera to find the break. He didn't record the camera inspection, but in all fairness, it wasn't something we discussed at the start of the job (I only learned later that it was pretty standard). Sterling was very courteous, prompt, communicative, and did a pretty good job cleaning up what was a very messy job. We discussed options for fixing the line and asked for a detailed estimate of what it would take to repair the break and replace the whole 55-year old sewer line. More than 2 weeks later, we haven't received that estimate. So while Dun Rite did the job they were hired to do and I'm pleased with the job itself, I cannot recommend them as they did not follow through with the estimate for the required additional work.
